The idea behind Long Rifle Nation is pretty simple: we love shooting rifles and shotguns, and we especially love the .22 Long Rifle. This website is dedicated to the sport of shooting all types of long guns, however, with fond memories of our first shooting experiences, the .22 is our favorite, and we believe it is a great rifle for all ages. It is our responsibility to make sure our local, state, and federal elected government officials know where we stand on the issues of protecting our Second Amendment Right.
Develop safe shooting habits, and remember, firearms safety is up to you.
- Treat every firearm like it is loaded, even if you have checked and it is not loaded.
- Keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction, never point your weapon at anything you are not willing to destroy.
- Know your target, know what it is and what is behind it and the capabilities of your firearm and ammo. Never fire a shot towards anything you don’t know what is behind it.
- Keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot.
